The short version
This site is run by Aniket S. If you just read the site, very little happens — some anonymous analytics, and advertising cookies only if you accept them.
If you join the fan list or pre-save a release, you're giving your email address and a few basic details so new music can be sent to you. If you use a "Forever Pre-Save," you're allowing new releases to be added to your streaming library automatically until you stop it.
You can withdraw any of this at any time by emailing hello@aniket.rocks.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Aniket Singh, who records and performs as Aniket S, based in New Mexico, United States.
For anything relating to your data, contact hello@aniket.rocks.
For the purposes of data protection law, we are the controller of the personal information described here.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Your email address, and sometimes your name, country and preferred streaming
- service, when you join the fan list or pre-save a release
- Anything you send us by email
- Order and delivery details if you buy from the shop
Information collected automatically
- Pages viewed, time on page, and how you arrived at the site
- Approximate location, derived from your IP address (country or city level)
- Device type, browser and operating system
- Clicks on outbound links — for example to Spotify, a pre-save page, or the
- fan list
We do not collect payment card details. The shop at shop.aniket.rocks runs on Printify, which handles checkout, payment and fulfilment directly. Your card details never reach us.
2a. A note about the shop
shop.aniket.rocks is a separate platform. It runs on Printify, not on this site, and it has its own cookies, its own checkout and its own privacy handling. The cookie choice you make here does not carry across to it.
If you buy something, Printify's privacy policy governs what happens to your order and delivery details.
3. Cookies and tracking
The site uses cookies and similar technologies. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set if you accept them in the consent banner. You can change your mind at any time.
| Service | What it does | Provider |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Measures site usage and outbound clicks | |
| Google Ads tag | Measures whether an ad led to a visit or signup | |
| Meta Pixel & Conversions API | Measures ad results on Facebook and Instagram, and builds advertising audiences | Meta |
| TikTok Pixel | Measures ad results on TikTok and builds advertising audiences | TikTok |
| Essential cookies | Keep the site working and remember your consent choice | This site |
The Meta Conversions API sends some event information — such as that a signup happened — from our server to Meta rather than from your browser. It is used for the same purpose as the pixel: measuring advertising.
Embedded content, such as Spotify players and YouTube videos, may set its own cookies once loaded. Those are governed by Spotify's and Google's own privacy policies.
4. Advertising
We advertise on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, and Google and YouTube.
If you accept advertising cookies, those platforms may:
- Record that you visited this site or took an action on it
- Show you our advertising elsewhere
- Include you in audiences used to find people with similar interests
We do not sell your personal information for money. Note that under some US state privacy laws, sharing data with advertising platforms in this way can count as "selling" or "sharing." If you decline advertising cookies, or use the opt-out below, this does not happen.
You can opt out at any time by declining cookies in the banner, or through Meta's ad settings, Google's ad settings, and TikTok's in-app privacy settings.
5. The fan list, pre-saves and Forever Pre-Saves
Our fan list and release pre-saves are handled by SymphonyOS, which acts as a processor on our behalf.
When you join the fan list, you give us your email address and, depending on the form, your name, country and which streaming service you use. We use this to send you occasional messages about new music, videos and releases. Every message includes an unsubscribe link.
When you pre-save a release, you authorise Spotify (or Apple Music or Deezer) to grant limited access to your account. Depending on the options shown to you at the time, this may:
- Add the release to your library automatically when it comes out
- Follow the artist profile on your behalf
- Share your email address and basic profile details with us
Forever Pre-Saves extends that permission to future releases, so new music is added to your library automatically as it is released, without you doing anything each time.
You can stop this at any time. Remove the app's access in your streaming service's account settings — on Spotify this is under Account → Apps → Remove Access — or email hello@aniket.rocks and we'll remove you from the list.
6. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with the services that help us run this site, and only for the purposes described above. Those fall into a few categories: the analytics and advertising platforms named in section 3; the provider that hosts our fan list, pre-saves and email; our website host; and, if you buy something, the shop and its fulfilment services. Where you authorise a pre-save, your streaming service — Spotify, Apple Music or Deezer — is involved directly, because that permission is one you grant yourself. If you order from the shop, your name and delivery address are passed to the print provider who makes the item and the carrier who delivers it, which is simply how print-on-demand works; nothing is made or held by us. We do not sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone else except where the law requires it. If you'd like to know exactly which providers we use, email hello@aniket.rocks and we'll tell you.
7. Why we're allowed to do this
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, our lawful bases are:
- Consent — for advertising and analytics cookies, and for fan-list emails.
- You can withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interests — for keeping the site secure and working, and for
- understanding in aggregate how it's used.
- Contract — for fulfilling an order if you buy something.
8. How long we keep it
- Analytics data — 14 months, then automatically deleted
- Fan list — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it
- Advertising audiences — as set by each platform, typically up to 180 days
- Emails you send us — as long as needed to deal with them
9. Your rights
Wherever you are, you can email hello@aniket.rocks to ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. We'll do it.
If you are in the UK or EU, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You can also complain to your national data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.
If you are in California — or in another US state with a comprehensive privacy law, such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Oregon or Texas — you have the right to know what is collected, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising. Declining advertising cookies in the banner is a valid opt-out. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
We honour Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them.
10. Where your information goes
We are based in the United States, and the services we use — Google, Meta, TikTok, SymphonyOS, Shopify — are predominantly US-based.
That means if you are in the UK or the EEA, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States. Where that happens, it relies on the safeguards those providers have in place, such as standard contractual clauses and the EU–US and UK–US Data Privacy Frameworks.
If you would rather your information not be transferred, the simplest route is to decline advertising and analytics cookies and not to join the fan list. The site works fully either way.
11. Children
This site isn't aimed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their details, email hello@aniket.rocks and we'll delete it.
12. Changes
If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll say so on the site.
