Aniket S is a musician and filmmaker based in New Mexico, currently studying Digital Filmmaking at New Mexico State University. His work explores the relationship between image, sound, and performance, focusing on emotionally driven, character-centred narratives.
His background in music began early, performing at talent shows and events before developing his own work through songwriting and production. During the pandemic he began creating original music in FL Studio, later releasing tracks on streaming platforms — including Safe in the Shadows, which has passed 10,000 streams. Music continues to shape his approach to storytelling, influencing how he thinks about tone, rhythm, and pacing.
He was first introduced to filmmaking as an extra on The Goldfinch (2019), where he experienced the collaborative nature of a film set firsthand. Since then he has developed his craft at NMSU's Creative Media Institute, working across directing, editing, and visual storytelling. His production experience includes production assistant on Touch Grass (2024) and second assistant camera on Nana (2025), both NMSU CMI multi-class productions.
Across both film and music, the same principle applies: structure, timing, and atmosphere shape how a story is felt.
